Bio: Mary Murphy Phayer immigrated to the United States in 1847 from her birthplace in County Wexford, Ireland. She was the wife of Joseph D. Phayer. She and Joseph were the parents of Mary Anna (Phayer) Streeper, Richard Benedict Phayer Sr., William Bernard Phayer, Catherine Jane "Jennie" (Phayer) Walter, Charles Thomas Phayer, John Joseph Phayer Sr., Susan Johanna (Phayer) Roach, and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Phayer) Heath.
