Biography

John Muzzy and Lucy Bartlett and family were described on pages 107- 108 of the published source, The Descendants of Joseph Bartlett [1]:

Lucy Bartlett, born Brookfield, Mass., June 21, 1769; died Oct. 15, 1829, age 60; married May 29, 1788, Col. John Muzzy, of Spencer, Mass. He was born Dec. 20, 1766, son of John and Mary (Ball) Muzzy. He died Sept. 14, 1842, age 75. His father probably married as his second wife, Mrs. Rebecca Bartlett, the widow of Obediah Bartlett (34).
John Muzzy removed from Spencer, Mass., to Brookfield. He was a tanner by trade, a colonel and deputy sheriff. He was a descendant of John Muzzy, and inn holder of Lexington, Mass.
