Biography
Francois Thélésphore Nadeau was born and baptized on 11 Sep 1838 in Saint-André parish in Kamouraska, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Michel Nadeau and Elisabeth Ouellet. Sponsors at Telesphore's baptism were Antoine Louis and Hélène Lévesque; neither sponsor signed the register.
At age 27 Telesphore married first wife Louise Jalbert on 30 Jan 1866 in Saint-Octave-de-Métis parish in Matane, Canada East. There were two known children born into this marriage. Louise Jalbert died at age 36 on 11 Nov 1882 in Saint-Octave-de-Métis parish.
At age 51 Télésphore, farmer and widower of Louise Jalbert, married second wife Louise Potvin on 11 Aug 1890 in Saint-Gabriel parish in Rimouski, Québec, Canada. The couple received a dispensation for two banns of marriage. There was one known child born into this marriage. Louise Potvin died at age 30 on 8 Sep 1895 in Saint-Octave-de-Métis parish.
Telesphore Nadeau died at age 76 on 7 Dec 1914 in Padoue, Matapédia, Québec, Canada; he was buried two days later on 9 Dec
