ALLENDALE. Saturday. A fatal accident occured in the harvest field at Kingston at half-past 8 o'clock this morning, when James Nance, aged 30 years, a married man, was killed, very suddenly, at Messers. Morrish Bros.' farm. Deceased, who was engaged carting in from field to stack, noticing that William Mitchell, who was in charge of another team, had some difficulty in getting his horses under control, jumped from his wagon to assist him. The team driven by Nance made a start. He made back to the leaders, but they had too much pace on, and he was dragged down, and horses and waggon passed over him. Death was almost instantaneous. He leaves a widow and young child.
