Hedley was born in 1911 to Joseph Oswald Nash and Mary (Rowe) Nash. Ned, as he preferred to be called worked hard on his fathers farm. When Neds first son Terry was born, Ned and Ivy decided they needed to move to town to allow Terry and any other children they may have to attend school. it was common on the land back then to work on the farm and raise sons to work on the far. But times were changing and an education seemed the best option at that time. Ned enjoyed fishing, but rarely caught any fish when the grandchildren tagged along. The little bast@%ds made too much noise and scared the fish away. Ned also enjoyed listening to the horse races, I think the enjoyment may have extended beyond simply listening because he got rather emotional at the results sometimes. Ned and Ivy lived on Molong Road Orange in the 1960's and 70's. The block of land was very long and had sheep in the paddock. I remember an old Austin in the paddock.
He passed away in 1974. [1]
