Biography

Mica was born in 1822. Mica Naught ... She passed away in 1894.

Mica L./Jane 'Mickey' Knott/Nought/Naught was the second wife of Reuben Carmichael. They were married in Greene County. Indiana on November 23, 1843. They lived on a farm outside of Park, Indiana. Mica and Reuben were blessed with ten children. They were: William Joshua Carmichael, Joseph Thomas Carmichael, Martha Jane Carmichael Dobson Harden and Margaret Jane Carmichael Johnson (twins), Rebecca Ann Carmichael Zimmerman, John Mart Carmichael, Reuben Riley Carmichael, Sandy A. Carmichael, Andrew L. Carmichael, Benjamin Franklin Carmichael.

Possible parentage: Isaac Naught and Nancy Carlin Naught, as indicated in below source The Schylerite. These two are in the correct place at the right time for Mica's birth, and are Scottish, so more likely to encourage a match with the Scottish Carmichaels.

Burial

Walnut Grove Cemetery, Park, Greene County, Indiana, USA

Mica was born about 1840.

  • Fact: Burial (April 1894) Walnut Grove Cemetery, Greene, Indiana, United States
  • DAR records for Sterling Carmichael record her birth in North Carolina, but this is uncertain, so am leaving Indiana as the birthplace until I find another source
