From The Bedford Gazette, 27 Aug 1951: Elmer Ellsworth Blume Elmer Ellsworth Blume, 83, of Cumberland Md., died Thursday morning in Allegany Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday. Born in Mount Pleasant, Md., Mr. Blume had resided in Cumberland for 60 years. His parents were the late Michael and Eliza (Boden) Blume. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mae Beal, Ellerslie, Md., Mrs. Helen Henrickson, Smithsburg, Md., Mrs. Elizabeth Smiley, Detroit and Mrs. Ruth Brown, Bedford. Also four sons, Frank, Lambert and Samuel Blume of Cumberland, Walter Blume, Washington, an adopted son, Ellsworth Shaffer, Bedford, one sister, Mrs. Florence Cook, Ellerslie, 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Emma Naus, died in 1947.

Va., and Mrs Elmer Bloom of Cumberland, Md. left yesterday for Forest, Ohio where they will attend the Naus Reunion.
