Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Dora Nettles is a part of US Black heritage.

Dora was born in 1914. Her mother was Bannie Hunter who married Willie Nettles. In 1920, Dora and her siblings were living in the home of her maternal grandparents in Darlington, South Carolina. No parents were with them.[1] By 1930, Dora and brother Wilson were living with the grandparents.[2]
