Biography
Wilhelm (Willi) and his wife Hildegard (Hilde) owned and operated a nursery in Munich, Germany for many years. He sent our family several pictures of that nursery and his family many times. Willi was an accomplished photographer and had many of his photos published in Europe. He was also an avid hiker and mountain climber, perhaps not extremely high mountains but mountains none-the -less! He was a really nice and fun guy, a pleasure to visit with as my family and I did in 1979. During that visit I asked him what they thought about World War II and Willi became very upset. He told us that the German people were extremely upset and horrified when they discovered that they had been "duped" by Adolf Hitler--he said, "we had no idea what he was doing" , and he was crying as he told us.
