Biography

Harry (Neuman) Newman was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Henry "Harry" was born on the 6 June 1869 in the City of Adelaide, Colony of South Australia, Australia^[1]. He is the son of Carl Friedrich Neumann and Mary Ann Maria Bales. Harry (22) married Ethel Amelia Caust (16) on the 13 August 1891 at the residence of her father, William (Caust) in Chain of Ponds, District of Talunga, near the City of Adelaide, Colony of South Australia, Australia^[2]. During the marriage, the couple had eight (8) children.

Harry passed away, at the age of 61, at his residence, Model Nursery, in the small Town of Houghton, in the Adelaide Hills, Tea Tree Gully, near Adelaide, South Australia^[3]. His burial took place on the 26 September 1930 at the Houghton Cemetery, Johns Road, in Houghton, South Australia, Australia. The inscription on the Headstone reads:--HARRY WILLIAM NEWMAN Born 6th June 1869, Died 24th Sept. 1930. Loved Husband of ETHEL AMELIA^[4].
