Sir William Neville, Knight, is the son of Ralph de Neville and Alice de Audley. [1] He was born about 1338. [2] He married about 1366 Elizabeth Waleys, daughter of Sir Stephen de Waleys and Alice de St. Philibert. [3] "From 1388 to 1389 he was a friend of John Wyclif and the Lollard movement, and so joined the Lords Appellant, where he was opposed to his brother Alexander, the Archbishop." [4]
