Biography

Private Benjamin Newkirk served in the United States Civil War.

Benjamin William L Newkirk, son of Benjamin Newkirk and Milly Brown, was born about 1833. In 1855, he married Nancy Cunningham.[1] He died in 1872 and is buried in the Cunningham Cemetery in English, Indiana.[2][3]

Benjamin served in the United States Civil War in the 144th Regiment, Indiana Infantry, Company D. [4][5]
