Her (Ellen Clements) real death happened between 2 May 1666 and 8 Mar 1671 d/o William Clements. But Ellen md 2nd Evan Williams wd db E page 94 1670-71 Lower Norfolk County.

Evan William and Ellen's children were Elizabeth, Eleanor and Sarah. Evan lists his stepson Richard Whitehurst.
Richard Whitehurst (stepson of Evan Williams and Ellen (Clements) Whitehurst) came to Virginia 17 Nov 1636 from Stafford, England and obtained a land patent 23 Oct 1648 of 250 acres in Lower Norfolk, County, Virginia for transporting Andrew Nicholas and his wife Elizabeth Clements and their sons and daughter Andrew, William and Elizabeth.
Lower Norfolk County records db C page 91 and db B page 122 15 Dec 1646 1050 acres assigned to Deborah Glascock for bringing 21 last 7 was assigned to Richard Whitehurst. He was a lawyer.
William Whitehurst was the guardian of James, Robert and John Whitehurst 15 Sept 1665 when he was asked for land that belonged to the orphans. :Ellen's sister Elizabeth md Andrew Nicholas.

Will says a child by wife is pregnant with, if child dies to cousins (should be nephews) Richard and William my brothers sons exor brothers Richard and James.

2. Richard purchased land at Strats, NC 6 Mar 1717 and a Swamp patent was granted 15 Mar 1717 for 636 acres was granted 6 June 1736 in Onslow Co., NC .
  • He was a first Justice of the Peace Colonial Records of North Carolina Vol 23 page 221.
  • A Vestryman in 1723 same reference Vol 25 page 208.
  • Probably went to Carteret Co., NC between 1700 and 1717.

7. Susan Whitehurst b ca 1651 underage in 1654 CONT Stewart's History page 91 says Richard Whitehurst among the first settlers who lived in Lower Norfolk, County between 1631 and 1645. Evan William names his stepson Richard Whitehurst and his children Elizabeth, Elinor and Sarah. After more research we think Ellen who married Richard Whitehurst md 2nd Evan Williams db c page 199a dated 15 Feb 1656 a suit against Edward Robinson and Ellinor now deceased. Ellen was assigned 100 pounds of tobacco and court charges to be paid by Robinson.
Stewart's History page 91 says Richard Whitehurst among the first settlers who lived in lower Norfolk Co., Va. between 1631 and 1645.

V-2 Richard Whitehurst and Mary all these are in Onslow and Carteret Co., NC Richard moved to NC between 1703 and 1717, received 380 acres of land in Carteret Co in 1717, 636 and 632 acres in Onslow Co in 1736 land grants, 250 in 1740 and 250 in 1741 in Onslow Co., NC.
