From the Saint John newspaper 20 Dec 1922:-
Goodman-Nichols
Saint Jude's church, West End, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, when Edith Jeanette Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Nichols, of the west side, was united in marriage to Clifford Ellsworth Goodman, Formerly of Toronto but now of St. John. Rev. Craig Nichols of Westfield, uncle of the bride, officiated and was assisted by the Rev. J.H.A. Holmes, rector of the church. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked charming in brown Canton crepe with orange trimmings. Her bouquet was of Ophelia roses. Miss Marion Nichols, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a dress of pink organdie with hat to match. The groom is the senior member of the firm, Goodman & Burpee, of this city, and the bride was formerly employed on the staff of the Dominion tax office. They received many handsome presents, including a beautiful mahogany electric lamp from the staff of the Dominion income tax office and a silver casserole dish from St. Jude's choir. Mr. and Mrs. Goodman left for Toronto, where they will spend their honeymoon, and the good wishes of a host of friends has been extended to them. They will return to St. John to make their home.
