Biography

John Nicholson Esq[1] was born Dublin 25 June 1762. [2] He was the son of Thomas Nicholson & Christian Jaffray. [3][4] He was descended from the Nicholsons of Cumberland[5], making him a cousin of the Nicholsons of Balloo. He was a Quaker. [6] He married Isabella Wakefield, Friends Meeting House, Moyallon, County Down, 27 October 1785. [6] He resided at Stramore House, Gilford, County Down. [1] He died aged 63, 09 August 1825. [1] His gravestone is at Tullylish Old Graveyard, Banbridge, County Down. [1]

John was born in 1762. He passed away in 1825.
