Nathan Simon Meijer Nijstad was born on 30 Sep 1832 in Assen, Drenthe, Nederland, His parents were Meijer Joël Nijstad (1792–1855) and Aaltje Godschalk Godfried (1798–1872).[1]
Nathan (age 27) and Elisabeth Nijstad (age 27) were married on 20 May 1860 in Assen, Drenthe, Nederland.[2] Elisabeth was born on 30 Jul 1832 in Hoogeveen, Drenthe, Nederland. She was the daughter of Hartog Joël Nijstad and Aaltje van der Horst. Their children were:
- Meijer Nijstad (1861-1930)
- Hartog Nijstad (1863-1926)
- Reeltje Nijstad (1866–1942)
- Aaltje Nijstad (1869-1926)
- Joël Nijstad (1872-1900)
Nathan passed away on 12 Feb 1894 in Assen, Drenthe, Nederland, aged 61.[3]
