Jentien Nijstad was born on 8 Feb 1850 in Gijsselte, Ruinen, Drenthe, Nederland; daughter of Willem Hendriks Nijstad and Geertruida Jacobus Hulzentop.^[1]

Jentien (age 22) married Arend Bennink (age 25) (born on 27 Sep 1846 in Schottershuizen, Drenthe, Nederland; son of Klaas Jans Bennink and Lammechien Hendriks Poese) on 13 Apr 1872 in Ruinen, De Wolden, Drenthe, Nederland.^[2] Their known son was Willem Bennink (1874–1933).

Jentien passed away on 18 Sep 1930 in Anholt, Drenthe, Nederland, aged 80.^[3]
