Biography
Paul was born on 25 May 1874 in Anderson County, South Carolina; he was a son of James T. and Eliza Ann Norris. [1]
Around 1904, he married Annie Talula "Lula" Skelton. They settled in the Rock Mills community of Anderson County, and they had one son:[2]
- Thomas A. (1906-1958)
In 1918, Paul registered for the World War I Draft; the registration card reveals that he "has lost right arm." There is no indication of how or when this may have happened,[3] The 1920 census shows that Paul and his family, including his elderly father, are contuing life on their farm in Rock Mills.[4]
By 1940, Paul and Lula had moved into town, living on West Whitney Street, in Anderson, South Carolina.[5]
Paul died on 20 Sep 1947, at the age of 73, and lies buried in First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina.[6]
