DEATH ARTICLE A son of Mr. Josiah Norrish, a lad of about twelve years of age, living near Kojonup, was drowned in the Gordon River on Sunday last. His body was recovered after some trouble. It appears that a man was with the boy at the time, and saw him drowning, but unfortunately it seems he did not make any great attempt to save the little fellow. At the inquest, held before Mr. L. Vanzuilecom. J.P., a verdict was given to the effect that death was caused by drowning, and the coroner commented upon the cowardice exhibited by the man in not making an effort to save the lad.

Online death records have his place of death as Talerarup (could this be a typo and should be Tambellup?) and his age as 10.

His headstone incorrectly has his year of death as 1881.
