Elizabeth was born about 1826. She was the daughter of Michael Nowlin and Elizabeth Thompson. She passed away about 1872.
Michael Nowlin worked two years on years Erie Canal and later kept a hotel for eight years in Alleghany Co. New York. He was also a teacher, a justice of the peace, and later a farmer. He moved to Pulaski Township, Jackson Co., Michigan in 1836, being of the earliest settlers and organizers of that township. In 1842 he was Township Clerk, an office held in 1845 by James Nowlin, in 1857 by Levi Nowlin and in 1869 by Lorenzo Nowlin. In politics Michael II was a Whig. In religion for more than thirty years he was a consistent and valued member of the Methodist Church. Michael Nowlin ll married Elizabeth Thompson in 1817, and to this union were born eleven children.
