Biography

Janet, also known as Jenny, was born about 1817,[1] probably in County Antrim, Ireland.

In about 1838 she married Charles McCormick, a labourer, probably in the local limestone quarry in Ballylig, Glynn, County Antrim where they lived and together they had 7 children - 4 boys and 3 girls.

Janet died in 1892 in Ballylig, aged 75 years. The informant on her death certificate was Mary McCormick of Ballylig who was present at her death[2] She is interred in Templecorran Old Graveyard in Ballycarry, County Antrim.[3]
