Biography

Annie was born in 1871. Her parents were listed as Thomas OAKLEY and Amelia JONES. ^[1]

Annie married Sidney Lewingdon Mitchell on 6th September, at the Christian Chapel, Point Sturt, SA. ^[2] A notice was placed in the local paper, Evening Journal (Adelaide, SA : 1869 - 1912) Wed 10 Sep 1902 Page 2 Family Notices ^[3]

MITCHELL—OAKLEY.—On the 6th September, at the Christian Chapel, Point Sturt, by J. E. Thomas, evangelist, Sidney Lewingdon, youngest son of the late F. W. Mitchell, of Yaaringiree, Point Sturt, to Annie, youngest daughter of the late Thos. Oakley, of Lower Finniss.

Note that this was a joint wedding with her cousin, James Albert OAKLEY.

She passed away in 1909, aged 38 and was buried at Point Sturt. ^[4]
