Tobias was the son of Samuel & Elizabeth (Hatch) Oakman
In 1748, above the age of 14 years, Tobias made the choice of Israel Hatch of Scituate to be his guardian.[1]
In 1757, Tobias signed a receipt for his share of his father's estate.[2]
He married Ruth Little, daughter of John & Constant (Fobes) Little, about 1748 at Marshfield, Plymouth, MA Bay - children included Louisa, Alethea, Hope & Elizabeth Hatch Oakman
He is buried at Two Mile Cemetery, Marshfield, Plymouth, MA
