Sarah was born in Madison County, Ohio in 1842 the daughter of Francis and Matilda (Keyes) Olmsted.
Sarah married Marcus B. Dye on 3 Jan 1867 in Lafayette County, Missouri.[1] Her family name was given as Olmstead (with the added "a"; a common mistake) and his given name was also misspelled as Marchus. They had one son, Marcus "Jr." born in 1868. Marcus "Sr." died in 1861.
Sarah then married Alexander Levin Jillson pm 5 June 1873 in Emporia, Lyon, Kansas, They had two sons: Carlos (1879) and Otis (1881). Alexander died in 1902.
Sarah L. (Olmsted) Jillson died 30 September 1915 was buried at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, Lyon, Kansas.[2]
