Biography

From the family's own records, Isaac Orbaugh came from Rockingham Co, VA. Census records indicate his children Moses (b 1827), Lydia (b 1829) and Elizabeth (b 1830) were born in Virginia, and Isaac's marriage to Sarah Tusing is recorded in the Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940 database.

Marriage performed by Jacob Harshbarger.

The 1830 Rockingham Co, VA census shows three Orebaugh households, Adam Orebaugh, Abram Orebaugh, and Andrew Orebaugh. Based on the ages family members, the only family that Jacob Isaac Orebaugh could have belong to is that of Abram Orebaugh.

Isaac is buried in the Prewett Cememtery, near Frankton, Indana.
