Anna was a Friend (Quaker)

Her quaker lineage and abolitionist roots are detailed in an episode of Who Do You Think You Are (US) (Season 4 Episode 4 - "Zooey Deschanel")

She was arrested at 80 years old for chaining herself to a fence outside a nuclear power plant. [1]
