Hattie was born on 22 Jun 1881 near Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee. The identity of her parents is not certain, but they are probably William Orr and Sarah C. (maiden name unknown).[1]
On 18 Feb 1907, she married Sloan Martin Brock in Birmingham, Alabama. [2]

Sloan and Hattie Brock had five children:
Hattie passed away on 29 Jun 1949, and lies buried in Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina.[6]
