Vern was born in December, 1896. He was the son of William Ostic and Effie Jane Cornwell. Vern enlisted as a member of The U.S. Marine Corps. He was stationed in Key West, Florida. His last place of residence was in Sebewaing, Huron, Michigan. He passed away about May, 1982.
