"Mr. WILLIAM OWEN. The death occurred of Mr. William Owen at the age of 65 years. Deceased was a returned soldier from the 1914-18 war, and resided in this district for many years. He was employed at Ruoak Timbers until his retirement. He was highly respected. The funeral took place from St. John's Church of England to the Alexandra cemetery on Saturday last. Rev. Batt conducted the service at the Church and at the graveside. Mr. T. Halligan recited the Masonic ritual. Mr. S. Reynolds (President R.S.L.) recited the Masonic ritual. Service men were the coffin bearers."
