1900 - US [3]
Note: Occupation: Not listed.
Note: Listed as mother of five children, all living. Three of these children are listed in the census family group. Where are the other two children? Were they from a previous marriage?
Note: DOB: December 1859.
1910 - US [4]
Note: Occupation: Washer Woman - Away from home.
Note: Listed as M2 = Twice married. Husband (Elliot) not listed in household so where is he? If deceased, why isn't she listed as Widowed? Was she married before Elliot or after Elliot's death, if he is deceased at this date?
Note: Listed as mother of 9 children, of which seven are living. This number is questionable as she would have borne 4 children since the 1900 census, and at least two of those children would be 10 y/o or less so where are they?
Note: Birth year: 1866.
Research Notes
POB: Born in West Virginia.Remember that the state of West Virginia was created in 1861, so some of the source references that use West Virginia may actually be Virginia if dated before 1861.

It is possible she first married James William Harris in 1876. The couple had 2 children, listed on the 1880 US Census. That census lists father's POB as New York and mother's POB as WVA (Virginia). So the facts elicited from the 1876 marriage record and 1880 US Census agree with the facts in this profile, other than the ages, which are inconsistent across all sources. The Diana of this profile might be the daughter of Lewis and Rachel Owens, who marriedIsaac Truman in 1890. On the 1890 marriage record, Isaac is listed as age 21 and Diana age 24. Isaac was living with Lewis Owens family on the 1870 US census and his age was listed as 19 and Diana's age as 15. Diana also had the last name of Truman. The age for Isaac is likely incorrect and Diana should be listed above her sister Rebecca on the 1870 census family group, with a surname of Owens and not Truman. That Diana was actually born22 Dec 1856, born in Roane County. The Delayed Certificate of Birth for Anderson Edward Lyons gives Father's POB as Jackson County, WVA and mother's POB (the Diana of this profile] as Wirt County, WVA. Stella/Estalla Reed died in 1956, who was a daughter of James William Harris and Diana Owens Her parents as listed on the Death record are Isaac Truman and Diana Owens. Her DOB was listed as 03 June 1876, which is after the marriage of Diana and James Harris, but before the marriage of Isaac Truman and Diana Owens in 1890. Stella and her sister Emma are listed in the family group with James and Diana on the 1880 US Census. Stella married Thomas Reed in 1892. At that time, she had the surname of Truman. Elliot Lyons is an informant listed on the marriage record. So if Diana was married to Elliot, that would have been a 2nd marriage if it occurred before 1890 or a 3rd marriage if it happened after 1890. But her 1910 Census record states 2 marriages, not 3. Was there truly a marriage to Elliot and when did that happen since the birth records for Elliot jr, and Anderson use a surname of Lyons and not Truman?
