(V) Benjamin (2), third son and fifth child of Joseph and Elizabeth (Dow) Perkins, was born October 17, 1746, in Hampton Falls, and settled in Wakefield, this state, where he was probably a farmer. No record of his marriage appears in New Hampshire, but the record of his children's births appearing in Wakefield, show her name to be Abigail. Their children were: Benjamin, John, William, David, Josiah, Joseph, Caleb, Bradbury and Ruth.

Please see source # 5, New Hampshire, Rockingham, Deeds, 0126:0023, "Benjamin & Abigail (of East Town, Estate of John Smith, share Ruth Page, mother of Abigail) to Moulton, Jonathan (of Hampton), property in North Hampton," 1773-06-15, for primary evidence that Abigail's maiden name was Page. Is there any source indicating that her maiden name was Howard?
Can you please tell me why you think her maiden name is Howard??? All indications that I have seen - so far - list her Abigail "PAGE" daughter of David Page and Ruth Smith (with his second wife). I will connect her to the PAGE lineage, and if you object - I am happy to undo these changes
