She died 26 April 1949, in New Zealand, at the age of 79, in Mataura, Southland, New Zealand,[3] and her ashes were buried 29 April 1949 in the Andersons Bay Cemetery - Andersons Bay, Dunedin City, Otago, New Zealand, Block S. Plot 21[4]
