Eleanor was born about 1665. She was the daughter of William Pargiter and Eleanor Guise.
She married Henry Dering on 20 Jan 1685-6. Jan 20 1685-6. Henry Dering of the Inner Temple, Esq., Bachr, abt 40 & Eleanor Pargiter of St Giles in the Fields, Spr, abt. 20 with consent of her brother in law Ld Ferries, her parents dead; at St Giles afs or [blank].[1]
After his death she married Charles Howe.
She passed away 25 July 1696, and was buried in Greatworth Church, where an inscription reads: "This monument was erected by Charles Howe, esq. in memory of his dearest wife, Elianor, relict of Sir Henry Dering, knt. who was sole daughter and heiress of Sir William Pargiter, of Gritworth, and of Elianor, descended of the family of the Guises, in Gloucestershire. After her first husband's decease without issue, she was married to Mr Howe, by whom she had three sons and theree daughters, of whom Leonora Maria is the only child that survived her. Her other five children are buried with her in a vault in this church. She was born the 5th of May, 1665. She died the 25th of July, 1696." [2]
