William was born 05 May 1741 to John Paris and Margaret Thornton and baptised 19 May 1741 in Uphall. [1]

William Paris passed away 30 May 1834 at Bell's Quarry Mid Calder at the age of 78. "In Affectionate Remembrance of William Paris D. At Bell's Quarry 30.5.1834 in the 79th Year of His Age"[7]
