Pathany (Parker) Ratcliffe was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, England.

Pathany was born in Livesey, Lancashire, England, on February 7, 1874. Her birth was registered in Blackburn. (Note..name on registration reads Pathena). She was the daughter of Thomas Parker and Amy Earnshaw. She was baptised on Mar 1, 1874 at Immanuel, Feniscowles, Blackburn. (Note..baptism also recorded March 1, 1874,at St Peter Church, Lancaster. She was enumerated in the 1881 census as a seven year old residing with her parents and four siblings on Archibald Street, Livesey.

Her mother died in 1886. Pathany appeared in the 1991 census as the adopted daughter of Whittaker and Ellen Walsh, 71 Morrgates, Livesey, with sister Mary Ann. Pathany was seventeen, single, and a "Cotton Weaver".

Pathany married Richard Ratcliffe in 1900. The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Blackburn. The marriage ceremony was held on April 15th at St Andrew's Church. The Parish Register listed Pathany as a twenty six year old spinster and "Weaver" residing at 70 Morrgate, Street. Her father was named as Thomas Parker (deceased) "Weaver". Richard was a twenty five year old bachelor and "Stripper & Grinder" residing at 12 Vincent Street. His father was named as James Ratcliffe "Quarryman". The couple would have at least three children. (Note...in the 1911 census, she declared she had three children, but one had died).

Patheny and Richard appeared in the 1901 census residing at 3 Archibald Street, Blackburn. One child, James, one month old at residence. The family was living at 312 Livesey Branch Road, Blackburn, in 1911. Two children, Ellen, age eight, and Ada, fourteen months old, at residence.

Pathany died on April 19, 1941, in Romford, Essex, England. She was listed on the UK, World War II Civilian Deaths, 1939-1945 residing at 101 Essex Road.
