Frederick is the son of Capt. Jonathan and Maria (Phinney) Parker, both born in Massachusetts. His brother William married his wife's sister, Sophia Crocker.
Son of Jonathan (b abt 1797) and Maria (b abt 1805) Parker.
From "A genealogy of the Nye family," p. 176,
Frederick Elton Parker, born in Barnstable, Mass., June 19, 1844. He married January 21, 1869 Anna Louise Crocker, born May 10, 1841, died April 20, 1906. Frederick was "First Mate" at the age of nineteen. Due to an eye injury while setting off gunpowder on Independence Day, he could not continue in the chain of command. He bought his Uncle Timothy Parker's homestead and became a shelfisherman. Frederick E. Parker died October 19, 1922.
