Biography
Sarah Parkison was born on 22 Jun 1852 in Fayette, Illinois, United States.[1] (about 1851[2]) Her father was Isaac Parkison and her mother was Margret Allen.[1]
Sarah Parkinson married Andrew J Vance on Nov 1874 in Fayette, Illinois.[2]
In the 1880 US census, Andrew Vance (42, born about 1838 in Illinois) and Sarah Vance (29, born about 1851 in Illinois) were living in Wade, Jasper, Illinois with their two sons Joseph (3) and Elijah (2). Also living with them were Andrew's children from his first marriage: Grant (16), Mary E (15), Robert (14) and Rosa (10) ; Andrew's mother Mary Vance (72) and sister Ellin D Vance (39).[3] Sarah was Andrew's second wife, and Joseph and Elijah were Sarah's biological children.
In 1910, she is listed as divorced and the mother of 5 children with 2 living.[4]
Sarah Parkison Vance died on 24 Sep 1931 in Vandalia, Fayette, Illinois, United States.[1]
