Caleb Parks was born in Eleuthera, Bahamas in 1851 to Joseph T Parks and Amelia Carey Parks.
He submitted a Declaration of Intention to become a citizen of the United States in 1874 in Key West, Florida.
Caleb married May Josephine Jenkins, 2 October 1883, in Key West, Florida. The couple had a son, Leroy Jerome Parks, in 1889.
Caleb Parks died in a tragic accident in Tampa, Florida in 1910. He was the cook on the schooner Lillie White, of Key West, when a 50-gallon drum of gasoline on the vessel exploded at the Gulf Oil Company's docks. He was killed instantly.
