Uhrichsville Chronicle, June 20, 1894

Mrs. Mary Greer, mother of Mrs. Thomas Greer, of this city died at her home in Frazier, Idaho, May 30, 1894, in the 91st year of her age. Word was not received here of her death until Saturday, June 16, owing to the fact they lived sixty miles from any railroad or settlement. The deceased, as is well known by many of the old residents, was a find christian lady. She had been a member of the Methodist church since she was twelve years old. She joined the church in Philadelphia, Pa., in the year 1814, making her membership eighty years in length. Up to the time of her demise she was a devoted, conscientious, christian worker. She died, the word says, as she lived - in peace with the Savior. She was buried at Frazier, Idaho, her home. Her death will be commemorated in the Uhrichsville M. E. church by a short obituary service, as at one time she was a member of that church.
