Biography
Martha was born in Chapel Street, Cookstown in 1904. She is the daughter of John James Patterson and Eliza Barnes. Her father was a bread server. [1]
In 1911 the family were living in Tirmacshane, Samuel G 40, and his wife Eliza Jane 31, Eliza Jane 78, mother of Samuel, Thomas Jas 10, Martha Taylor 7, Eliza Jane 4 (step children of Samuel) and Sylina Carson 4 (adopted child. [2]
Research Notes
The actual birth registration is in the name of Eliza Jane but the search is via a “Marthat” maybe Martha Taylor? And there is a subsequent daughter that is named Eliza Jane born in 1907. The census suggests the earlier child is called Martha.
