Biography

Giuseppa Patti is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Vincenzo Patti and Gaetana d'Amico, who married in 1876. I estimate Giuseppa is born within a couple of years of their marriage. She is named after her paternal grandmother.

Giuseppa marries Leoluca Leggio, son of Francesco Leggio and Maria Fruja, on 16 November 1902.^[1]

Leoluca and Giuseppa have at least four children, three of whom are known as defendants in a 1969 trial in Bari, Italy.^[2] Their known children are Francesco (1904), Vincenzo (1906), Giovanna (c. 1909), and Maria Concetta (1913).

Francesco is born 21 January 1904.^[2]

Vincenzo is born 2 November 1906.^[2]

I estimate Giovanna is born around 1909, twenty years before she marries.

Maria Concetta is born 27 May 1913.^[2]

Giovanna marries Gioachino Riina on 10 February 1929.^[3]
