Jane T. Pedigo,
the daughter of Jessie Sharp Pedigo (1812-1888) and Jane Richardson (1815-1879),
was born in or around May 1852 in Indiana (some records indicate Kentucky but earliest census and others make Indiana the most likely).
In 1860, Jesse Pedigo (48, farmer) was living in Green River, Hart County, Kentucky. Also in the home were Jane Pedigo (44), Mildred F. Pedigo (16), Whitfield Pedigo (16), Dudley Pedigo (14), James W. Pedigo (11), Jane T. Pedigo (8), and Ann M. Pedigo (1)

NOTE: according to the 1900 census, there were a total of 10 children. 2 remain unaccounted for.
In 1870, John C. West (22) was living in West Point Precinct, Hardin County, Kentucky, wwith Jane T. West (18). John was workin at a sawmill, and Jane was keeping house.

In June 1880, John C. West (31) was living in Ohio Township, Spencer County, Indiana, with his wife Jane (27), and children Millie J. (9), William J. (8), Anna E. (4), and Mattie M. (2). (Jane's brothers James and Dudley Petigo and their families are nearby.)

In June 1900, John C. West (54) was living at 2126 Penrose Ave, St. Louis City, Missouri, with his wife Jane (47), and children Tina (16), John (?16?), Jacob (13), and Minnie (10).

Jane died of lobar pneumonia at the age of about 55 on 7 November 1908 in St. Louis City, Missouri.

She was buried in St. Peters Cemetery in Normandy, St. Louis County, Missouri.

Jennie Petico [sic], born in Kentucky, was named as the mother of Tina I. Monroe on her death certificate, dated 22 July 1913. Informant was Henry J. Monroe.
