Joseph Pedler came free to the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)
Joseph was born about 1797 in Cornwall to parents Grace and William Pidler.
He married Elizabeth James and they had three children. They emigrated to South Australia on the ship Royal Admiral, arriving in 1838 in a group of around 20 Cornish immigrants named Pedler. [1]

If the Marriage reference quoted above is correct, Elizabeth James was only 12 years old when he married her.
