Biography

Alexander was born on 12 November 1906 at Oxgangs, Colinton, Edinburghshire, son of James Peffers and Mary Reilly. [1]

In 1911 he lived at Dolphington, Dalmeny, Linlithgowshire. In the 1911 census Alex (age 4) was in Dalmeny, West Lothian, Scotland.[2]

In the 1921 census Alexander (age 14) was in Kirknewton and East Calder, Midlothian, Scotland.[3]

He died on 19 January 1981 at 15 Calderhall Terrace, East Calder, West Lothian, age 74 years. He had been a retired labourer in a detergent factory. [4][5] He is buried Kirk of Calder Churchyard, Mid Calder, West Lothian. [6]
