Pell. https://www.seekingmyroots.com/members/files/G005182.pdf JOHN PELL Oldest son of William and Margaret Pell, born 1785 in Virginia. The 1810 census showed him living in Augusta, Bracken County, Kentucky, married with three children. The tax records of Bracken County, Kentucky, listed him through the years 1807 through 1815 as owning 105 acres on the Ohio River. Later, about 1818, he moved to Harrison County, Ind. with the rest of the Pell family, where he remained until about 1840. He then moved to Pope County, Illinois, and around 1845 moved on to Massac County, _Illinois, where records show that he and his wife, Mary, aeeded land on March 5, 1849 to Elizabeth Pell, Mary Ellen Pell, Lydia Ann Pell, John Paisley and Thomas Desouchet of Massac County, ·111. The 1850 census of Massac County, Illinois shows children living with them at that time as Nancy E., Lydia A., and Jane Paisley.... John Pell died on February 17, 1855 at the age of 70, and his daughter, Lydia Ann Pell, was appointed administratrix.
