Joan Frances Pelly was born in Benalla, Victoria, Australia on the 10 Sep 1924 to parents Joseph Edward Pelly & Bridget Veronica Murphy.
Joan Frances Pelly was a country girl who survived the Australian 1930 depression years. In her childhood the family moved from St James, Victoria to Wagga Wagga, NSW in 1925 then back Shepparton, Murchinson & St James, Victoria during the 1930's. About 1940 she moved to the inner suburban suburb of Brunswick.
Joan Frances Pelly married George Gordon Peters in 1953 at St Ambrose RC Church in Brunswick, Victoria.
Joan passed away on Saturday, 15 Aug 2020 in Drummond North, Victoria, Australia aged 95 after a short illness. [1]
