Bob Penman was born in Scotland.

Bob was born to Robert Thomas Penman and his wife Agnes Jack in Bothkenner Parish[1]

Bob served in the Scots Guards as a signaller during WWI and was gassed on 14 Sep 1918 at Boulogne. [2]

Robert married Sarah Cameron on 7 Dec 1912 in Blythswood.[3] Robert requested a divorce from Sarah in 19 Mar 1919 and that divorce was granted and the marriage entry corrected on 26 May 1919 [4]

Robert married Annie Mulholland 2 Jul 1920 in Larbert.[5]

Robert married Margaret Wilson Shanks in 1949 in Blythswood.[6]

Bob originally started out training to be a coal hewer [7] switched to learning to be a blacksmith but decided he wanted the finer things in life. He opened a haberdashery which went bankrupt and then took a job as a sheriff of Lanarkshire. He was caught with council money and jailed for embezzlement. After that he worked at ICI for the rest of his life [8]

Bob died in Glasgow in 1965 of Left Ventrical Failure, and Myocardial Infarction[9]
