Biography
Martha Pennington was born on March 29, 1843 in Hemla, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Levi Pennington and Elizabeth Henson.
Married Marshall Gilly
In 1880 she and her husband Marshall Gilly were living on the Pennington farm with her mother Liby(Elizabeth0. With them were her five children who were William age 16 years, Mollie age 13 years, Wilson age Years, Lillie age 5 years and Nelson age 2 years. During 1900 she was recorded as being 56 years of age born in March of 1844 and she has given birth to seven children and 6 were living presently.
By 1910 Martha was reported as being 67 years of age and had seven children with five presently living
She passed away in 1926.
