Miklos Perczel was born on December 15,1812, in Bonyhad, Hungary. [1] His older brother, Mor Perczel was a general in the Revolutionary Hungarian Army.

American Civil War
On September 1, 1861, Miklos Perczel was appointed Colonel of the 10th Regiment, Iowa Infantry. Perczel had a significant role in the liberation of Missouri. Perczel resigned his commission on November 1, 1862. [3] [4]
Perczel was nominated for Brigadier General. For some reason, the President did not approve his nomination. [3]
Death
Miklos Perczel died on March 4, 1904.
He passed away in 1904. He was buried in Hungary. [1]
