Biography

Zina Alberta Perkins was born on January 11, 1910 in Magrath, Cardston, Alberta, Canada, daughter of Andrew Houston Perkins (1859–1942) and Almaretta Spencer (1868–1952).[1]

Zina had a brother, Andrew Clarence Perkins (1891–1967).

In 1911, Zina (1) was in the household of her father, Andrew in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. [2]

In 1930, Zina A (20) was living in Cane Beds, Mohave, Arizona. [3]

Zina (27) married Francis Drake Hinton (35) (born on February 6, 1902 in Virgin, Washington, Utah; son of Atkins Hinton and Sarah Elzira (Sanders) Hinton) on November 18, 1937 in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada, United States.[4] Their children were:

Zina died on June 6, 2000 in Washington, Utah, United States, aged 90. She is commemorated at Isaac W. Carling Memorial Park, Colorado City, Mohave County, Arizona.[1]

Obituary

Zina Alberta (Berta) Perkins Hinton was born in Magrath, Cardston, Alberta, Canada. She was the youngest child of eleven children born to Andrew Houston Perkins and Almaretta Spencer.

She met Francis (Drake) Hinton while he was working in the Cane Beds, Arizona area, where she was living. They were married on Nov 18 1937 in Las Vagas, Nevada, by the Justice of the Peace, who was a relative. They were later married in the St George, Utah Temple. After their marriage in Nevada, they moved to Los Angeles, California, where their first child and daughter was born on June 20, 1938. They then moved to southern Utah, where Francis had a job working on a turkey farm. They later moved to Canebeds, Arizona, were Francis worked with his brother-in-laws running cattle. It was in Cane Beds, where their son was born on Aug 6 1943.

Alberta and Francis continued to live in Cane Beds, Arizona, until their health required they move to a care center in Hurricane, Utah.

Francis died on Aug 29, 1984, and Zina Alberta died on Jun 6 2000.
